Avocet Mining PLC是一家金矿开采公司，总部位于英国伦敦，同时在英国伦敦和挪威奥斯陆证交所上市。该公司主要的金矿资源位于西非地区的几内亚和布基纳法索。

英国Avocet Mining PLC金矿公司2012年获得了几内亚KANKAN大区Mandiana省Koulekoun 和 Kodiéra两处金矿的探矿权证。两处矿区面积合计480平方公里。

2013年完成了可研报告。根据勘探和可研，这2矿区储量约300万盎司，如果每年开采5.5万盎司的话，可供商业化开采7年。

Tri-K is located in the northeast of the country, approximately 90 km northeast of Kankan; the second largest city in Guinea. An exploration programme has been ongoing at Tri-K, which is situated in a large basin of Birimian geology, since 2005. Avocet has completed a feasibility study at Tri-K and announced a Maiden Ore reserve of 480,000 ounces. Mineral Resources at Tri-K totals 3.0 million ounces.

Tri-K heap leach feasibility study

Tri-K is a gold project in northeast Guinea with a total Mineral Resource of 3.0 million ounces. In 2013, Feasibility Study work completed on the basis of a heap leach development of only the oxide portion of the orebody showed that the project can support a 7 year life of mine, producing an average of 55,000 ounces of gold per year. A maiden Ore Reserve of 480,000 ounces (7.9 million tonnes grading 1.89 g/t Au) was also announced as part of the feasibility study.

In March 2015, a mining permit was awarded on the basis of this feasibility study. Work is currently underway to re-engineer the project and reduce capital and operating expenditure significantly, with a view to raising funding for construction to commence in early 2016.

Potential for development of larger CIL project

The Company intends to review the alternative of a CIL plant to exploit the entire 3.0 million ounce resource at Tri-K, including 2.4 million ounces contained within the fresh and transitional material. Metallurgical testwork to date, based on CIL processing methods, suggests that Tri-K material is amenable to standard CIL techniques.

C'est fait! Managem, la minière du holding SNI concrétise la convention avec l’Etat guinéen relative au projet minerai aurifère Tri-K. La ratification par l'Assemblée nationale de Guinée est attendue pour janvier 2017 avant le lancement officiel des travaux d'exploitation de la mine.

Près de deux mois après l'annonce de la signature de l'accord entre le groupe Managem et la société Avocet Mining PLC portant sur la cession d’une partie de ses participations dans le projet aurifère Tri-K, permettant à l'opérateur marocain de devenir l’opérateur de référence de ce projet, la convention avec l'Etat guinéen est ratifiée.

Avocet Mining PLC, cotée à la City de Londres et à la place financière d’Oslo, détient 100% du projet Tri-K en Guinée. Ces activités portent sur l’exploitation aurifère en Afrique de l’Ouest.

La joint-venture avec Managem porte ainsi sur la cession par Avocet d’une partie de ses participations dans ce projet.

Managem: prise de participation dans un important projet en Guinée

Depuis le 19 décembre, les autorités guinéennes ont donné leur approbation pour la réalisation de cette entreprise. En effet, la convention portant «sur la mise en œuvre des travaux de développement précédant la phase de réalisation du projet» a été signée par Imad Toumi, PDG du groupe Managem et les représentants de la République de Guinée.

Toutefois, cette convention doit encore être ratifiée par le Parlement guinéen en janvier prochain.

Il ressort de cet arrangement que Managem deviendra l’opérateur de référence de ce projet, avec une participation en deux phases au capital de la joint-venture, à hauteur de 60% à 70%.

Dans un premier temps, Management acquiert une participation de 40% dans le projet et ce, à la clôture de la transaction. «Durant cette phase, Managem et ses filiales effectueront les différents travaux de sondages, d’ingénierie et d’études technico-économiques afin d’accroître les réserves et de prolonger la durée de vie de la mine», apprend-t-on auprès du groupe marocain.

Guinée: le groupe MANAGEM veut mettre un pied dans l’or

Ensuite, dans un deuxième phase, lorsque les réserves minières enregistreront des réserves de près de 30 tonnes d’or, soit un million d’onces, Managem renforcera son contrôle en devenant actionnaire à hauteur de 70%.

Le cas échéant, si cette quantité de réserve n’est pas atteinte, la participation de Managem ne s’élèvera qu’à 60%.

Dans le détail, la construction de la mine nécessitera un budget d’investissement estimé à 100 millions de dollars US (près de 950 millions de dirhams). Une production ciblée est de l’ordre de 100.000 onces d’or par an.

En termes de commercialisation, la première production est attendue pour fin 2019. Pour le groupe Managem, «ce projet s’inscrit dans la stratégie qui vise à atteindre une production d’or de 250 000 Oz/an à l’horizon 2020, notamment en Afrique subsaharienne».

Pour rappel, la Guinée est le premier pays étranger à avoir accueilli une exploitation de Managem en 2002.

Le Groupe Managem vient de conclure un accord avec la compagnie Avocet pour une prise de participation, qui pourrait à terme atteindre 70%, dans un projet aurifère en République de Guinée. Ce projet présente un potentiel de réserve de plus d'un million d'onces d'or.

Managem et la compagnie minière cotée à Londres et à Oslo, Avocet, viennent de conclure un accord portant sur la cession par Avocet au groupe marocain d’une partie de ses participations dans le projet aurifère Tri-K en République de Guinée.

L’opération est actuellement soumise à l’approbation des instances de gouvernance des deux parties.

Avocet Mining PLC, dont les activités portent essentiellement sur l’extraction d'or en Afrique de l’Ouest, détient à ce jour 100% du projet Tri-K en Guinée. Ce dernier porte sur plusieurs permis d’exploration et s’étend sur une superficie totale de 490 km².

L’étude de faisabilité initiale publiée par Avocet en octobre 2013, prévoit un total de 3 million d’onces d’or de ressources minérales dont 480.000 onces de réserves à valoriser.

Dans un communiqué publié ce mardi 11 octobre, Managem explique que cet accord de partenariat vise à créer une joint-venture pour le développement, la construction et l’exploitation du projet aurifère Tri-K.

«Avec ce partenariat, Managem deviendra l’opérateur minier de référence du projet avec une participation au capital de la joint-venture en deux phases à hauteur de 60 à 70%», peut-on lire dans le communiqué.

La première phase verra ainsi Managem prendre une particpation de 40%. L’entreprise marocaine et ses filiales effectueront alors les différents travaux de sondages, d’ingénierie et d’études technico-économiques afin d’accroître les réserves et de prolonger la durée de vie de la mine.

Lors de la seconde phase, il est prévu que Managem monte à 70% du capital de la joint-venture si les réserves minières atteignent au moins 1 million d’onces. A défaut, le groupe se contentera de 60%.

«Cette opération permet à Managem d’étendre son activité sur le continent et de concrétiser les accords de collaboration dans le domaine minier signés avec les autorités guinéennes», ajoute le communiqué.

Avocet is a gold mining company that was originally admitted to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange in 1996 and moved its listing to AIM in July 2002. In December 2011, Avocet was re-admitted to the official list of the LSE, which is now its primary listing.

Avocet's gold mining and exploration operations were historically located in South East Asia. In June 2009, Avocet acquired Wega Mining and, through it, operations in Burkina Faso, Guinea and Mali. Following this acquisition the decision was taken to divest of our South East Asian assets in order to focus on the highly prospective gold region of West Africa. In December 2010, an agreement was reached to sell our South East Asian assets for US$200 million.

The acquisition of Wega Mining brought Avocet 90% ownership of the Inata gold project in the Bélahouro district of northern Burkina Faso. Inata achieved commercial production following first gold pour on 20 December 2009. Production capacity was subsequently increased and the Inata mine produced 118,000 ounces of gold in 2013 and 86,000 ounces of gold in 2014.

The Bélahouro district is in the eastern part of the Birimian greenstone belt. Within this district, and in addition to Inata, Avocet acquired the exploration project at Souma among a total of eight exploration licences. Souma has a mineral resource of 0.78 million ounces. A mining permit application is currently being prepared for Souma.
